Terms of Service - Candidates
Last updated: 13 October 2026
1. Purpose
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the Clarentia platform by candidates. By using the platform, you accept these Terms.
2. Description of the Service
Clarentia is a technology platform that enables you to:
- create a candidate profile;
- apply to job offers;
- communicate with recruiters;
- take part in interviews, including with a conversational agent;
- receive job recommendations.
Clarentia is not an employer, a recruitment agency or a staffing intermediary.
3. Account and Candidate Profile
3.1 Account creation
You may create a personal account by providing accurate, complete and up-to-date information. You may apply to an unlimited number of job offers. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
3.2 Profile visibility
When you create an account and a candidate profile on Clarentia, your profile is visible by default to recruiters from all Clarentia client companies. They can view your full CV, your contact details and the scores and assessment results associated with your profile, and can contact you.
If you apply to a job offer without creating a Clarentia account (for example via a job board), your application is only visible to the recruiter who published the offer.
To stop being visible to recruiters, you may delete your account at any time (Section 8.1) or exercise your right to object by writing to dpo@clarentia.com.
4. Applications
When you apply to a job offer, you are asked for your consent to share your application and related information with the recruiter concerned. Your application is then kept in that company’s talent pool for 2 years, unless you delete your account (Section 8.1); at the end of this period, you will be asked to renew your consent.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting the recruiter concerned or Clarentia at dpo@clarentia.com.
5. Use of the Platform
You agree to provide accurate and truthful information, not to impersonate any third party, not to use the platform for fraudulent purposes and to communicate respectfully with recruiters.
In particular, you must not:
- have a third party answer on your behalf during an interview;
- use automated tools, including external artificial intelligence, during an interview;
- interfere with the proper functioning of the platform.
6. Artificial Intelligence
6.1 Matching and scoring
The platform uses analytical systems to assess how well your profile matches a job offer. These analyses take into account, in particular, your skills, experience, location, education level and job preferences. They are indicative only and do not constitute a hiring decision.
6.2 Interviews with a conversational agent
Some recruitment processes include an interview with a conversational agent. In this context, conversations may be recorded, transcribed and analyzed, a summary may be generated and the results may be reviewed by the recruiter.
You may refuse this type of interview and ask the recruiter for an alternative assessment method. The recruiter remains free to decide whether to grant this request.
6.3 Limitations of automated systems
Outputs generated by artificial intelligence systems may contain errors and do not replace human assessment. The final hiring decision rests solely with the recruiter. You may request human intervention under the conditions set out in the Privacy Policy.
7. Role of Clarentia
Clarentia acts as a technology platform provider. As such, Clarentia does not take part in hiring decisions, does not guarantee employment and does not verify the content of published job offers.
8. Account Management
8.1 Account deletion
You may delete your account at any time. Deletion includes an information screen explaining its consequences, followed by an explicit confirmation.
Deleting your account deletes your profile (identity, contact details, photo, CV, skills, experience), your job recommendations and your messages. Your profile is removed from recruiters’ talent pools. Applications you have submitted remain linked to the job offers concerned, but all data that could identify you is deleted or anonymized; the same applies to the associated scores and assessments.
8.2 Suspension or deletion by Clarentia
Clarentia may suspend or delete your account in case of fraud, breach of these Terms, abusive use of the platform, or if you have not logged in to your account for 12 months, after prior notice by email.
9. Liability
Clarentia shall not be liable for hiring decisions made by recruiters, the content of published job offers or interactions between candidates and recruiters. Clarentia does not guarantee uninterrupted service availability, error-free automated systems or employment outcomes. Clarentia’s liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.
10. Personal Data
The processing of your personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy available on the Clarentia platform.
11. Changes to these Terms
Clarentia may modify these Terms. You will be informed of any material change before it takes effect.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, we invite you to contact us first in order to seek an amicable solution. Failing that, the dispute will be brought before the competent French courts in accordance with the ordinary rules of jurisdiction.
